Reports are claiming that Kanye West is considering retiring from music so that he can instead channel his creativity into fashion.
The Bound 2 hitmaker allegedly wants to "step away" from the recording studio so that he can concentrate on his dream of establishing his own clothing line.
"After his next [collaboration] with Sir Paul McCartney comes out, he's going to step away from music and concentrate on clothing," a source recently told the New York Post newspapers Page Six column.
If the claims are true, it would mean that the rapper could finally fulfill his commitments to Adidas. The star has signed a pricey contract to design a line for the iconic sports brand, but his busy schedule has meant that he has not yet been able to complete it. "He got a $15 million signing bonus from Adidas, but his line has been pushed back four times because he hasn't had enough time to work on it," the insider added.

The 37-year-old previously had a deal with Nike, but cancelled it after their rivals offered West more money. "The old me -- without a daughter -- might have taken this Nike deal because I just love Nike so much, blah, blah, blah, but the new me, with a daughter, takes the Adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family..."
In his typical egotistical fashion, the husband of Kim Kardashian then added, "I'm going to be the first hip-hop designer, and because of that I'mma be bigger than Wal-Mart."
