It’s been 20 years in the making and “Dumb and Dumber To” definitely found an eager audience over its opening weekend.
The Jim Carrey/Jeff Daniels flick took in an estimated $38.1 million, beating out family favorite “Big Hero 6” which scored $36 million.
“Dumb and Dumber To” looks to be following in the footsteps of the original 1994 film as it also opened at #1 and eventually earned $127 million domestically and $247 million globally.
In third place was “Interstellar” at $29.2 million followed by “Beyond the Lights” at $6.5 million and “Gone Girl” at $4.6 million.
