The trailer, official poster and new images have been unveiled for Disney's Cinderella, which sees Lily James star as the much-loved fairy tale character in Kenneth Branagh's live-action take on the animated children's classic.
The movie brings to life the timeless images from the definitive Disney film, which was released in 1950, in a visually-spectacular masterpiece for a whole new generation. The story of Cinderella follows the life of young Ella (Lily James) whose merchant father remarries following the death of her mother. Eager to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new step-mother (Cate Blanchett) and her daughters Anastasia (Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (Sophie McShera) into the family home. However, when Ella's father unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself ill-treated by her new family.
The film also stars actress Helena Bonham Carter who, untypically, plays the much-loved role of Fairy Godmother, who grants Cinderella's wish to go to the ball, meet the Prince (Richard Madden) and possibly change her life forever.

Unlike the animated classic, the new movie also features heart-breaking scenes of Cinderella's mother on her death bed, with the trailer offering a sneaky peak of the loving relationship the mother and daughter had before her passing. The trailer begins with Ella's mother offering her daughter her final piece of advice, as she whispers, "I want to tell you a secret that will see you through all the trials that life can offer. Have courage and be kind."
The payoff poster, featuring Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones actress Lily as Cinderella, was shot by Annie Leibovitz exclusively for the movie's campaign. Additional photos by Annie, featuring the cast from the film, can be seen in the costume feature of Vogue magazine's December issue, which is available now.
Cinderella opens in cinemas on March 13, 2015.
