The 'E.T.' hitmaker plays an old sad woman who can't get over her loved one whom she lost in a tragic car accident.
Katy Perry has released a music video in support of her single "The One That Got Away". Portraying an old woman, she looks back at her past when she lived with the love of her life. Being haunted by remorse for not trying harder to keep him from leaving, she forever blames herself for the tragic car accident that ended his life.

"The One That Got Away" music video was premiered exclusively on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on November 11. It's directed by Floria Sigismondi, who previously helmed "E.T." music video, and features "Milk" actor, Diego Luna, as Perry's former flame.

"The One That Got Away" is one of the singles in Perry's third studio album "Teenage Dream", which was released in the United States on August 24, 2010. In an interview with MTV, Perry said, "It's a bittersweet story-hopefully, the listener learns from hearing it and never has to say they had 'The One' get away."
