An insider claims that recent report suggesting the ‘Back to December’ singer really wants to rekindle her romance with the ‘Source Code’ actor is ‘completely untrue.’Contrary to swirling rumors, Taylor Swift is not trying to rekindle romance with Jake Gyllenhaal. Words are, the country singer is still “hopelessly clinging” to her failed relationship with the “Source Code” actor. An insider, however, told Gossip Cop that the gossip was “completely untrue.”

It was previously reported that a so-called friend of Jake told In Touch that Taylor begged the “Prince of Persia: Sands of Time” hunk to “rekindle their romance,” but “he shot her down.” The source further added that “Taylor still reaches out to him and he wants nothing to do with her.”

The same source revealed that Jake dumped the “Mean” singer because she is friendly to his ex, Reese Witherspoon. “Jake’s normally an easygoing guy, but the thought of Taylor telling Reese everything she knows about him just puts a knot in his stomach,” said the source. “He really wanted to marry Reese, and he doesn’t want any girl-talk about him.”

Taylor herself recently insisted that she is still single and doesn’t want to date anyone for now. In an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, she said, “I don’t have a boyfriend. I don’t even have, like, kind of a boyfriend. I don’t have someone that I’m texting this is a huy that someday might be my boyfriend. There’s like nothing going on right now.”

Taylor and Jake split earlier this year after dating for two months. In early January, it was reported that Jake suddenly dumped the blond beauty over the phone. A source told Us Weekly, “It was a 180-degree turn and so out of the blue. Jake just told her it wasn’t working out… Taylor is really upset and hurt. She doesn’t know what she did for him to put a stop to it. She feels really burned by him.”
