Filled with many controversial scenes, the clip sees the Bajan songstress using drugs, drinking beer, getting tattoo and making out with a blue-eyed boyfriend, played by British boxer Dudley O’Shaughnessy, before their romance takes a turn for the worse.

“It’s like you screaming and no one can hear,” a voiceover kicks off the video. “You almost feel ashamed, that someone could be that important, that without them you feel like nothing. No one will ever understand how much it hurts. You feel hopeless, but nothing can save you, and when it’s over and it’s gone, you almost wish that you can almost have that bad stuff back so you can have the good.”

This music video for “We Found Love”, which features Calvin Harris, is directed by Meilna Matsoukas, who also helmed Rihanna’s videos for “Hard”, “S&M”, “Rude Boy” and “Rockstar 101”. When filming for the clip in Belfast, the “Umbrella” hitmaker got scolded by an Irish farmer for donning inappropriate outfit while shooting in his corn field.
