The Alice Cullen of the “Twilight Saga” film franchise has just nabbed a new job as the new ambassadress for DKNY Jeans. The label announced on Wednesday, October 19 that the Florida-born beauty has sealed a 1-year contract to serve as its new representative.
Sharing her excitement about her new duty, Ashley told Us Weekly, “I’ve always loved Donna Karan’s creations. To be a part of the brands’ message is incredibly exciting because it feels like such an organic fit.” She added, “It’s easy to talk about how these clothes work for my lifestyle, whether I’m in New York, L.A. or traveling for work.”
Of why the clothier picked the “Skateland” star as their new ambassador, executive VP Patti Cohen explained, “Ashley embodies everything DKNY, her energy, her spirit, her eclectic personal style.” Patti added, “She is on the forefront of what it means to connect with a global fan base through social media, a focus that is aligned with our digital and new media initiatives.”
Ashley, who stars opposite Miley Cyrus in forthcoming drama comedy “LOL”, follows the footsteps of Hilary Duff and Alexa Chung who previously served as the face for DKNY. Ashley will join the global campaign for the Spring 2012 collection, which will be photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
In another news, Ashley who is rumored to be dating Broadway star Reeve Carney opened up about her relationship with Demi Lovato despite rumors that they were fighting over their ex, Joe Jonas. She told Allure magazine, “She and I never had a problem with each other. But, you know, it doesn’t go away… Jennifer Aniston still gets asked about Angelina Jolie.”
