According to R-Patz's close friend Marcus Foster, the song called 'I Was Broken' which was once sung by the 'Twilight Saga' star is not written by the actor.
Robert Pattinson could be stealing his BFF's song which is titled "I Was Broken". While many of his fans believed the actor who plays Edward in "Twilight Saga" was the one who wrote the lyrics, his close pal Marcus Foster revealed otherwise.

"He sang it ['I Was Broken'] in a pub and someone recorded it on their phone," Foster said in a recent interview. "We used to sing each other songs a few years ago and that one just got up on the internet and it went crazy, but it's my song."

The 25-year-old hunk indeed performed the song a few years ago during the hype of the first installment of the vampire film franchise. People quickly made assumption that it was his own song, and he never clarified whether the report is true or not.

Rob himself has contributed two songs on "Twilight". He sang "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign". A few weeks ago, he was spotted at a Los Angeles recording studio, raising speculating that he was recording for the soundtrack of two "Breaking Dawn" films.

According to his co-star Kellan Lutz, R-Patz always brought his guitar when filming the "Twilight Saga". The rumored boyfriend of Kristen Stewart taught his on-screen brother how to play the instrument in between breaks.

"I picked up the guitar now that I have some down time," Kellan told L.A. Times. "I got a couple of books and some iPad apps, but I get to work with Rob and Jackson [Rathbone] on all these movies, who are brilliant musicians. I get to learn from talented people... I can't sing for crap, but I enjoy picking up hobbies."
