Lady Gaga lands in Sydney for one-off gig

Pop diva Lady Gaga has touched down in Sydney for her only Australian show, a private concert for hardcore fans at the Sydney Town Hall.

The fashionista made a very cautious entrance walking down the plane stairs at Sydney Airport to ensure she didn’t trip over her 30cm-high heels.

Once safely on the ground, Gaga — dressed in a floor-length white dress with fabric billowing out around her shoulders — gave a regal wave and blew a kiss to fans.

The singer, who’s real name is Stefani Germanotta, is scheduled to perform for only 1000 people at Sydney’s Town Hall on Wednesday night.

The one-off gig was billed as an event for die-hard fans, or “little monsters,” as Gaga refers to them, to promote her new album Born This Way.

No tickets were sold, with fans instead having to enter a draw through Facebook by posting a picture that shows how much they love the pop singer.

The one-off performance is reported to cost around $1 million.

But it’s not all work for the pop star, with Gaga’s minders also said to be planning some “Sydney time”.
