Emma Watson: L.A. Scares the Crap Out of Me

In a recent magazine interview, the Hermione Granger of the 'Harry Potter' film franchise admits that she will go mad if she lives in Los Angeles and has to adapt the celebrity lifestyle in the city.Emma Watson seems to have bad impression on the celebrity life style in California. The 21-year-old actress, who is famously known for playing Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" film series, admitted that she would never see herself moving in to Los Angeles.

"L.A. scares the crap out of me," Emma said in cover story interview for the August Issue of Harper's Bazaar UK. "I feel if I have to work out for hours a day, and count the calories of everything I put in my mouth, and have Botox at 22, and obsess about how I look the whole time, I will go mad. I will absolutely lose it."

The English actress-and-model, however, confessed that she felt excited about relocating to U.S. back in 2009 when she began her freshman year at Brown University. "I felt suddenly very claustrophobic. I thought, I can't stay [in England]. I won't be able to concentrate. I won't be left alone," she recalled.

During the chat, the actress who will portray Sam in upcoming film "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", also opened up about how she maintains her good girl image although she's now dubbed as one of the highest-paid actresses in the world.

"I couldn't imagine giving my family any more trouble, it's already been complicated enough," Emma explained. "My dad is one of the top international-communications lawyers in the country, and trying to argue with him was a nightmare, so I learnt quite quickly to be good with words."

The Paris-born actress continued, "My mom is an incredible woman. She moved back from Paris with my brother and me after the divorce, and worked full-time, supporting both of us." She added, "But I felt I wanted to take care of her, I didn't want to give her a hard time."

Nonetheless, Emma's squeaky clean image has made her having difficulty to land a role as a bad girl in a movie. "My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry. I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I said, 'I can't do it. I just can't do it,'" she shared. "I keep all of that really bottled up somewhere and I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing, and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things, it's scary for me."
