The middle member of the Jonas Brothers fails the audition to play Peter Parker in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' because he is considered having too fat thighs.Joe Jonas has auditioned for the part of Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man for "The Amazing Spider-Man". The middle member of the Jonas Brothers, however, failed to land the coveted role, which went to "The Social Network" star Andrew Garfield, and his thighs are said to be the reason why.

A video has been posted on YouTube recently, and in it, a man named Warren allegedly from Paramount Studios calls and breaks the news to 21-year-old Joe. "I'll be honest, I'll be frank... the main reason is your thighs. Your thighs Joe, they're just too fat," he told the brother of Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.

"No I'm serious, we all looked at it [the audition tape] and you looked kinda... everyone thought that you looked kinda ridiculous in the tights," he continued telling the pop singer. "Imagine Spider Man, he's swinging through the air and everything like that and it looks like somebody used a bicycle pump for his thighs."

Last October 2010, the ex-boyfriend of Ashley Greene revealed in an interview for Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show, he dreams of playing Spider-Man in a movie. He told the "American Idol" host, "I'm always like, '... there are so many superhero movies out right now. I think that could be kinda fun. I would love to be Spider-Man. That would be totally awesome!"

"The Amazing Spider-Man" will see Andrew Garfield taking the lead character. The 27-year-old actor is supported by Emma Roberts, who will fill the shoes of Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans, who is set to star as Dr. Curt Connors a.k.a. The Lizard. The new "Spider-Man" remake will open in theaters nationwide on July 3, 2012.
