The 'Baby' hitmaker meets the kids who are affected by Japan's tremendous disaster last March, telling them to be strong by saying, 'Things can get better and things will get better.'Justin Bieber has met child victims of Japan earthquake and tsunami at the U.S. ambassador's residence on Wednesday, May 18 in Tokyo. After insisting to hold his Japanese gig despite nuclear radiation issue that supposedly forced him to halt the show, the Canadian heartthrob took some of his hectic time to speak heart-to-heart with nearly a dozen of unlucky kids, including some from Otsuchi town.

The 17-year-old teen idol was greeted by a boy from Otsuchi who read a card from the kids who thanked him for meeting with them. The boy explained the devastating disaster happened last March 11, saying, "We have friends who lost their family and their homes, some have left our school. The town is covered with wreckage and it will take a long time to get back to normal. But we will work hard for this. Please give us courage through your music."

Feeling touched, the "U Smile" hitmaker tried to encourage them to get through their hard times. He said, "Things can get better and things will get better. There are only good times to come." He also tweeted about his meeting with them, writing, "just met some incredible kids who have been thru alot because of the devastation here in Japan. blessed to meet them and proud to know them."

The "Baby" singing sensation continued his tweet minutes later. He tweeted, "when you meet kids like that..with all their strength and courage to move on you realize the important things in life. #supportJapan."

While in Japan, Justin has performed in the western part of Osaka to a sold-out venue. The boyfriend of Selena Gomez is also set to hit the famous Tokyo's Budokan for another sold-out gig. He has also been participating in a charity album "Songs for Japan" along with A-listed stars like Lady GaGa and Bob Dylan. The album has raised over $5 million for the victims in Japan.
