Taylor Swift Wrestles With Post-Breakup Trauma in 'Story of Us' Video

Not so long after releasing the music video, the blond beauty reveals that the clip is actually inspired by 'awful moment when you run into an ex for the first time.'Taylor Swift has just premiered her latest music video "The Story of Us". Not so long after that, the Grammy-winning singer opened up to MTV News about how it felt to watch her new clip, confessing that the video was actually inspired by a "seriously awkward awards-show encounter with an ex."
Explaining the emotional feeling behind the song, the 21-year-old beauty said, "Anytime I'm onstage or watching the music video, the first thing that comes into my mind is the person I wrote the song about." She added, "It's like the first thing that you think of is the moment that inspired the song, which is that excruciating, awful moment when you run into an ex for the first time."
Furthermore, Taylor admitted that since she was a celebrity, her fans were trying to relate who was "her ex" may referred to. In that case, she said that living as a famous person is "just like in high school, except [the awkward moments happen] at an awards show. You go living a normal life, except on a different scale. [In my songs] I tend to focus on love, feelings, emotions, what it was like feeling that particular relationship."
Eventually, when the blond beauty was asked if "The Story of Us" was at all related to her "You Belong With Me" character, she wisely answered, "Well, I think the biggest difference between the new video and all the other ones is that I love to make a happy ending happen, and with this video, it doesn't happen." In addition, Taylor just held a gig in Nashville over the weekend which raised more than $750,000 that will be delivered for the victims of the recent tornadoes in the South.
