The English beauty, who is famously known for her portrayal as brainbox Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” film series, has just started her junior year in Oxford University. She recently posted a photo of her first day at the England’s most prestigious and oldest school.
On her official page, the actress who will be seen in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” posted a photo of herself wearing casual outfit on her first day in Oxford University. She is seen all smiles while carrying some books and donning jeans, boots and a plaid shirt under her fur-lined army jacket.
Along with the image, the 21-year-old actress/model shared a message on her site, informing that she just started her first year after being transferred to Oxford from Brown University. “To Everyone who is starting a New School Year, (sorry those who have been at school for a while Oxford starts late), just to say have a great term and good luck with all your work,” she wrote.
Emma also temporarily bid goodbye to her fans and told them that she plans to hunker down from the spotlight and focuses on her study for the next few months. The Paris-born starlet added, “You might not hear from me for a while because I will be really busy studying but I wanted to just say hi and bye : ).”
Back in April, Emma announced that she had “decided to pursue a different course which sadly Brown does not offer.” She gave a clue that she would continue her study at a university “affiliated to Brown” starting October and may return to Rhode Island in her final year.
Following the announcement, the “My Week with Marilyn” actress was struck with rumors suggesting she made the decision because she was bullied in the private Ivy League university. However, she slammed the issue, insisting that she had a good time in Brown.
Telling Sunday Times Style Magazine, Emma claimed, “It made me so sad when all this stuff came out that I left Brown because I was being bullied. It made no sense at all. Brown has been the opposite.”
