Rapper Lil Reese was reportedly in shot in Chicago Monday (Nov. 11) and is said to be in “grave” condition.
Details are extremely scarce at the moment, however, social media reports are claiming that Reese, whose real name is Tavares Taylor, was shot during an altercation.
Chicago police confirmed that a man was shot on 167th St. and Pulaski Road early Monday afternoon, but the victim’s identity hasn’t been released.
According to CBS Chicago, when police arrived at the scene of the shooting, the victim had already been taken to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the neck.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing a wounded man being taken out of a bullet-riddled vehicle. Sources say the victim was taken to local hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound to the neck and is in “grave” condition.
While no official reports have confirmed that Lil Reese was the shooting victim, Lil Durk—another popular rapper out of Chicago—tweeted: “Reese good.”

Lil Reese is an associate of popular Chicago-based rapper Chief Keef.
The 26-year-old rapper was featured on Keef’s hit single “I Don’t Like” and has also collaborated with a number of other big names in hip-hop, including Drake, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and more.
