Mass Shooting Reported at Texas A&M-Commerce Homecoming Party, Multiple Victims & Fatalities

A mass shooting has been reported in Greenville, Texas at a homecoming party for Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Details are scarce at the moment, however, police and witnesses in Greenville, which is about an hour northeast of Dallas, say the incident happened just after midnight Sunday morning (Oct. 27) at the Party Venue.

According to WFAA-TV reporter Jason Whitely, “at least two fatalities” and more than a dozen injuries were reported. Some reports state there were at least 20 reported injuries.

“A .227 caliber rifle is believed to be used,” Whitely added. “Motive unknown.”

Police scanner audio revealed officers responded to reports of “multiple people shot” and “multiple victims.” One person was shot in the neck, the scanner stated.

Graphic video of the shooting’s aftermath was filmed on Snapchat and shared on social media.
