Kid Cudi Goes on Epic Twitter Rant, Calls Out Kanye West & Drake for Having “30 People” Write Their Songs

Nobody was checking for Kid Cudi, so he decided to make a few waves. The rapper went on a random Twitter rant calling out people who utilize large teams to write their music. Cudi notably named dropped Kanye West and Drake.

“Everyone think they’re soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them,” he wrote. However, that wasn’t the beginning nor end of his rant.

Cudi left West’s G.O.O.D Music label in 2013. And despite Drake’s 2015 ghostwriting controversy, his latest effort Views spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has sold over 1.4 million copies to date.

Meanwhile Cudi’s 2015 album, Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven, was heavily panned. So maybe he’s just a little bitter about Kanye West and Drake’s current success. However, Cudi is expected to release his sixth album sometime this month. With 18 reported tracks and this rant, we might get a few diss records.

Twitter also responded to his comments, prompting “Cudi” to become a No.1 trending topic (He’ll take no.1 wherever he can get it). Many took the opportunity to throw shade right back at the rapper, while some defended him.

Though Kid Cudi and a few of his fans may be in their feelings, I highly doubt Kanye or Drake is paying this any attention.
