He’s done a bang-up job of manning the helm at “The Late Late Show” and now James Corden will serve as emcee for the 2016 Tony Awards.
Earlier today (February 2) the English comedian released a statement, ahead of the big event which has been slated to take place on June 12th.
Corden gushed, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Tony Awards. Both times I’ve worked on Broadway have been amongst the happiest times of my professional life. I consider it to be a huge honor to be asked to host such an incredible night. It’s going to be fun; I can’t wait to dust off my tap shoes!”
