He’s never been one to hold his tongue and Chris Rock is very critical of the fact that the 2016 Academy Awards nominees are a bunch of white actors.
The “Everybody Hates Chris” stud, who also happens to be hosting the 88th Oscars, took to his Twitter account with a link to a promo video and the caption, “The #Oscars. The White BET Awards.”
Rock, of course, was referring to the fact that Idris Elba, Michael B Jordan, Ryan Coogler, Samuel L Jackson, Benicio del Toro and Will Smith were all snubbed at last week’s nomination announcement. Furthermore, “Straight Outta Compton” executive producer Will Packer blasted the Oscars panel on Facebook- “Yes, they made us laugh. Yes, they made us cry. Yes, they made us angry. Yes, they made us think. Yes, they are all black. No, not one was nominated for the movie industry’s highest honor.”
