Stone Temple Pilots Singer Scott Weiland Dead at 48

He’s one of the most notable voices of his generation and sadly Scott Weiland passed away on his tour bus on Thursday (December 3).

The “Plush” singer, who struggled with substance abuse throughout his career, was best known as the vocalist for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver.

Weiland’s Facebook page announced, "Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected."
