Putting all other blockbuster films to shame, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has set another sales record, just 12 days after hitting theaters.
The much-anticipated J.J. Abrams flick has already raked in $1 billion, and hasn’t yet released in the Chinese market, the world’s second-largest territory for films.
Starring Harrison Ford, Lupita Nyong’o, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” also set a new Christmas Day record in North America with $49.3 million in ticket sales.
