Avatar star Sam Worthington and his rumored wife Lara Bingle recently welcomed their first child. The very private couple became first-time parents when their baby boy, whom they named Rocket Zot, was born in Los Angeles last month. While the unusual name fits in with the names other celebrities have given their children (Hello, Apple!) it caught the eye of Australian journalist Annette Sharp. In an article written for Australia's Daily Telegraph, Sharp poked fun at the couple's choice of name.
“Certainly ‘;Rocket'…is striving for coolness. But I think it's reaching too hard,” Sharp wrote in her story, adding that it was not an acceptable name for a Christian child. She then turned her snark on the baby's middle name, Zot, which she called a “travesty—a mere verbal scribbling” and put into the category of "cruel and unusual punishments.”
Lara, an Australian native, was non-to-pleased with Sharp's story, and decided to take the journalist to task via Twitter for the remarks. She was particularly unhappy with what Sharp said about the middle name Zot.

“This quote taken from a balderdash article in The Daily Telegraph Australia, April 4, 2015 - is very embarrassing,” Lara tweeted. “My son's middle name IS a respectful nod to my late father, whose nickname was affectionately, Zot.”
Lara's father, Graham, went by “Zot” and passed away in 2008 from cancer.
The model and actress then pleaded with the Sydney-based newspaper to “rethink” who it employs and to avoid printing the “juvenile, spurious ramblings of some pseudo journalist called Annette Sharp.”
Sharp didn't seem concerned over the model lashing out at her. She made jokes about the conflict on her Twitter account after Lara posted the tweets.
The very personal tweets are uncharacteristic for Lara, who, along with Sam, has kept her personal life extremely private. In fact, the couple never actually confirmed Lara's pregnancy, although Lara had been photographed around New York City with a growing baby bump. Keeping things hush-hush seems to be the protocol for the couple, who have been dating since September 2013 but took their time confirming their relationship publicly. Sam and Lara have never confirmed whether or not they are actually married, although they reportedly tied the knot last year.
