It’s official! Bruce Jenner’s revealing interview with Diane Sawyer gets air date

The world will finally get to hear Bruce Jenner's side of his own story! ABC has confirmed that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's in-depth interview with news anchor Diane Sawyer will air later this month. The interview, which ABC called “far-ranging” in a press release issued today, will likely discuss Bruce's transition into a woman.

“Bruce Jenner-The Interview” will air on Friday, April 24, during a special two-hour edition of 20/20, ABC has confirmed. This marks the first interview Bruce has done with a major media outlet in regard to his transition.

Bruce's transition has been the subject of numerous tabloid magazine articles and the butt of many recent jokes. This interview with give the former Olympian a chance to tell his fans the truth and, according to TMZ, will cover Bruce's “early years identifying as a woman, to the present where he is deep into the transformation.”

Bruce has undergone a dramatic physical transformation over the last few years. Not only has he grown his hair out and been photographed wearing nail polish and feminine clothes, but he is rumored to have recently undergone a breast implant surgery, although the latter has not yet been confirmed by Bruce or his reps.

TMZ reports that the Kardashian women, as well as Bruce's ex, Kris Jenner, will be in Armenia on the night that Bruce's interview will air.

According to Deadline, the interview will also touch on the fatal car accident Bruce was involved in on February 7. Bruce was reportedly working on his own docu-series before the wreck occurred. It is not known whether or not the docu-series, which was going to focus on Bruce's life in Malibu with his sons as well as his transition, will ever air.
