Jill Duggar Dillard may have gotten pregnant shortly after her wedding to Derick Dillard in June, but her pregnancy was anything but short! The 19 Kids And Counting star finally gave birth on Monday night, nearly two weeks after her due date! People broke the news on Tuesday morning that Jill and Derick are now the parents of a baby boy, whom they named Israel David.
The magazine reported that Baby Israel arrived weighing 9 lbs, 10 oz., and measured 23 inches long. Photos posted by People, as well as Jill and other members of the Duggar family show Jill at a hospital after the birth, despite the fact that the reality star had stated that she planned to give birth at home. While it is uncertain why Jill had to go to a hospital, both she and the baby are reportedly doing well.
Jill even posted several photos of her new baby boy to her Instagram account, captioning one of her and Derick with the baby, “So thankful to God for this handsome little guy!”

Jill's parents, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, who have 19 kids themselves, proclaimed their joy over the birth of their fourth grandchild.
“Our sweet new grandson, Israel David Dillard is here,” the Arkansas-based couple wrote on the Duggar Family's official website. “We love him so much already and we love his name! Our Jill is doing wonderful and Derick seems to have a permanent smile on his face now! Israel is precious and his arrival is just another reminder of how very precious life is and how every child is a gift from God. We are happy grandparents!"
Jill and Derick were married in June 2014, and announced Jill's pregnancy just two months after their wedding. In October, they revealed that they were expecting a boy.
“As a new dad, to have a firstborn son to be our first born child and be a leader to his siblings, it's very special,” Derick told People at the time.
The couple will share their birth experience in an upcoming two-hour episode of 19 Kids and Counting. The special will air on May 5.
