Awkward! Jimmy Kimmel admits to having surgery on his penis…twice!

There are some things that people usually keep to themselves. Anything related to private parts is usually one of them. Somehow Jimmy Kimmel forgot this etiquette while at the SXSW festival in Texas on Monday. Either that, or the late night host truly has no problem sharing such details.

While speaking to E! News, the 47-year-old admitted that he's had two surgeries on his penis. The reason is because his urethra somehow closed up.

“It just kind of closed up on it's own,” he admitted. “I don't know why it happened. I still don't know why.”

He had no choice but to get the surgery done, but somehow also had bad luck during the procedure. He actually had to have the same surgery twice because the first time it didn't work and so he went under the knife a second time shortly after the first.

“The guy said, ‘;Your urethra's closing up and you need it operated on,' and they did,” Jimmy explained. “And then they said, ‘;Yeah, we didn't get it, it didn't quite work. We need to do it again.' And they did it again.”

Let's not forget that Jimmy Kimmel is a comedian after all. Of course, he couldn't help but poke fun at the situation despite it being an awful surgery.

“I'm a real pee hole,” he joked. “It's a horrible process by the way—a horrible horrible process.”

Jimmy Kimmel and his wife were at the Jimmy Kimmel Live & Entertainment Weekly Party during the interview. Jimmy will be hosting his show from SXSW for the entire week. On the first night, a whopping 2400 people showed up to watch the show.

This first night of the show in Austin was definitely worth it, as Kevin Hart stopped by to promote his new film Get Hard. The film was also screened at SXSW.

The week is shaping up to continue to be exciting for the SXSW audience as some of the other guests on the show this week include: Bill Murray, Willie Nelson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Robert Rodriguez, Tony Romo, the cast of “The Walking Dead,” as well as musical guests Spoon, James Bay, the Weeknd and Kanye West.
