Tan Mom Patricia Krentcil Has Given Up Tanning: See How Amazing She Looks!

Who's that girl?! "Tan Mom" Patricia Krentcil looks totally different—and totally hot—without her signature dark brown bronze. The 49-year-old mom recently announced that she has given up tanning…in favor of getting Botox!

Patricia, who was arrested in 2012 for taking her five-year-old daughter tanning with her, eventually became a media sensation. After the “tanorexic” New Jersey resident appeared on several news broadcasts, the public became obsessed with her overly tanned appearance. Her skin, which had been tanned to a charred brown color, was the subject of numerous news and magazine reports.

"For a year I had a media circus outside of my home, climbing my trees. It was absolute insanity," Patricia told NJ.com in November.

She appeared on several TV shows, and even in an adult movie, but in recent months has left the spotlight—and the tanning bed. In a recent interview with Closer, Patricia said she regrets all of the damage she did to her skin via tanning, calling it a “huge mistake.”

While her skin is a much more natural color these days, Patricia is hardly going for a natural look. Instead, she prefers to get Botox injections. She told the magazine that she spends about $300 every three months on the injections.

“I started reading about celebrities having Botox and realized that could give me the same confidence without damaging my skin,” she said. “I couldn't believe the results.”

Patricia told the magazine that she is currently considering having an eye lift and a smoothing treatment on her chest in hopes of fixing the damage that was done to her skin during her tanning phase. Patricia's current Twitter icon photoshows a happy (and much paler) version of herself, hugging her young daughter.

According to NJ.com, she is currently working on an autobiography that will be called Why Me?

"I'm not doing it for money or recognition," she told the site of the book. "It's a freedom from the idiots that have comments."
