Sony Email Hacking: New Leaked Channing Tatum Email Is The Best Yet

Over the weekend even more emails from the Sony Corporation were leaked to media outlets and after last week's bashing of Angelina Jolie and Michael Fassbender, it was Channing Tatum's turn to show exactly what he's like behind the Hollywood visage and it seems - he's exactly what you expect.

So far, the private exchanges between top executives at Sony Pictures have been pretty humiliating and revealed a bitchy, back-stabbing and bigoted Tinsletown - who knew - but probably the best so far, even beating the 'minimally talented brat' Angelina Jolie jibe, is an email sent by Magic Mike's Channing Tatum, revealing his happiness at the news 22 Jump Street had had a huge opening weekend back in June with $57 million.

According to the email, posted by The Hollywood Reporter, Tatum was ecstatic at the news the movie had beaten Ted for top grossing R-Rated comedies and had taken the top spot at the Box Office, ahead of How To Train Your Dragon, which is where the Cate Blanchett reference comes in, we guess, as she voiced one of the characters.

The email exchange is between Tatum, his 22 Jump Street co-star Jonah Hill, who was also in JTTYD meaning it was win-win for him, and Sony exec Amy Pascal.

Tatum also came up in another leak from the Daily Beast, where it was revealed he and Chris Pratt are keen to star in a Ghostbusters spin-off movie, which is super scary and funny. Another golden email from the actor to Amy Pascal about the project went something like this: “Let us show the world The DarkSide and let us fight it with all the glory and epicness of a HUGE BATMAN BEGINS MOVIE. I know we can make this a huge franchise. Fun adventure craziness. COME OONNNN!!!”

Explaining the idea behind the new Ghostbusters franchise, which has been rumoured to be in the pipeline for a while, an email from Hannah Minghella the co-president of production for Columbia Pictures: “They want to make it simultaneously super scary while also super funny. They love the idea that they are mortal heroes who are believers in the paranormal and the only people who can defend mankind from a paranormal threat. I know we're mid negotiations with Paul [Feig]. I'm not sure whether we'd ever develop two different versions simultaneously. Joe Russo is open to the idea that both movies could be developed in partnership so they compliment one another within the same Ghostbusters universe. Apparently the Russos are very close to Paul and Joe suggested Paul could be attached to direct both. Personally I think it's possible for the female version to co-exist with this other version so maybe they're not mutually exclusive.”

Sony's email system was breached on November 24 by a group calling themselves Guardians of Peace. According to Fox News, three news outlets have reportedly been warned to stop reporting on the "stolen material," the New York Times, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Letters sent to the publications reportedly also demands that stolen material obtained should be destroyed and avoided in future.
