Giving fans a midweek thrill, Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix showed up at the TCL Chinese Theatre for the Los Angeles premiere of “Inherent Vice” last night (December 10).
The “Walk The Line” costars seemed happy to be reunited on the red carpet as they mingled with fellow stars like Jena Malone, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg and Benicio Del Toro.

“Inherent Vice” is based on the Thomas Pynchon novel of the same name and is slated to hit theaters on January 9th, 2015. Per the synopsis, “Set in Los Angeles in 1970, the film follows Phoenix's detective character Larry 'Doc' Sportello as he investigates the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend and her rich boyfriend.”
