Sir Elton John and David Furnish have tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at their home surrounded by friends and family. The bash saw the happy couple joined by some of the most famous faces in Britain as they celebrated their love for one another and documented the whole thing on Instagram.

Sir Elton, and David wed in front of their two sons Zachary, three and Elijah, 23 months, as they encouraged their celebrity guests to upload images to their social media accounts using the hashtag #sharethelove so that fans of the couple could feel as much a part of the whole stunning event as possible.

Elton created his account on Instagram especially to share images and captions from the bash alongside David. The pair then loaded up several images including one as they exchanged their vows and a second where they looked blissfully happy smiling at the camera while they signed paperwork to finalise the commitment.

There was even a picture of Elijah holding on to his daddy's leg as the ceremony took place taken by Zachary, which was swiftly uploaded to the account. Elton wrote: "Zachary grabs David's iPhone and takes a photo of his brother while we exchange our vows. #ShareTheLove."

And guests including Liz Hurley and Victoria and Brooklyn Beckham posed for pictures as they helped the couple to live blog the wedding. In one snap Liz poses with Elton as she wrote: "Me and the Newly Wed Elton John #ShareTheLove #bestwedding."

Brooklyn sits beside his mum in another image where he posted: "Amazing day with family and special friends. Congratulations Uncle Elton and Uncle David #ShareTheLove."

Elton and David have been a couple for over 20-years, originally exchanging vows in a civil partnership back in 2005.

Guests at the bash included the whole Beckham family, Ed Sheeran, Gary Barlow, The Osbournes, David Walliams, Jimmy Carr, and Lulu, who uploaded possibly the best photo of the lot with this hilarious shot of Elton crying because Ed has stolen his glasses!
