Paul Akister X Factor 2014 Talks Mel B, Judges And Axe From The Competition

Axed X Factor act Paul Akister wasn't afraid to speak his mind during his time on the show, and now he's told us that the remaining acts shouldn't be scared about doing the same.

Paul revealed to EntertainmentWise that he wasn't fazed by Mel B's Scary Spice tag when it came to saying what he wanted. The 25 year-old said: "You wouldn't want to cross her but she's cool. If I had a problem I would say it to her. I didn't have any fear about that but when you said that, you were like: 'How would she take that?' You have to speak your mind, if you don't you'll be living with it forever." Well said Paul.

Perhaps Paul was keeping a close eye on his mentor who has definitely shown that she's not afraid to speak her mind when it's come to performances during the live show. Do you remember the deafening boos that she got last week when she told Ben that his performance of Michael Jackson's 'Man In The Mirror' left his vocals "too exposed" and telling Simon that he took a "massive risk"? Poor Cheryl couldn't get a word in for ages! Although, Simon gave as good as he got as he told his act: "I'm going to disagree with someone on the panel, because you can sing rock songs in your sleep, but it takes real guts on live TV to sing nearly a minute of that song with nothing....I believe this is the moment we are seeing a potential star being born."

Paul, who was up against Jay James in the sing-off on Sunday night, also admitted that he was still annoyed about his elimination, telling us: 'Yeah of course and if anyone said they're not, they're lying. They are lying because it's everything you've ever wanted."

Paul may be out of the competition now, but this year was the year that he finally made it through to the final stages of the ITV competition after he failed to make it to the live shows in 2013 when he was sent packing by Louis Walsh during the judges house round. In fact, Paul made it to the top nine before he was voted out.
