Taylor Swift has been keeping away from men since splitting with Harry Styles last year, but it looks like that could all be about to change if Matt Healy has anything to do with it.
The 1975 band member let slip that the pair had hit off after she attended one of his shows in Hollywood, and it seems they got along so well that they wanted to keep in touch. Speaking on Shazam Top 20 he revealed, "I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice. We exchanged numbers. Let's see what happens."
But Matt, 25, definitely seems sweet on the Shake It Off hitmaker, adding, "I mean bloody hell, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation, I wouldn't say no." But could their friendship blossom into a romance? The pair are definitely fans of each other, with Taylor stepping out in a 1975 vest, whilst Matt proudly displayed a 1989 shirt on stage.

Matt has quite a mission on his hands to woo Taylor, however, as it's been over a year since she's stepped out with a man in tow. Back in September she explained that she was taking a break from dating, after she felt that interest in who she was romancing had become a “national pastime”.
The 24-year-old told Rolling Stone, “I'm just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore. I don't like seeing slide shows of guys I've apparently dated. I don't like giving comedians the opportunity to make jokes about me at awards shows. I don't like it when headlines read 'Careful, Bro, She'll Write a Song About You,' because it trivializes my work. And most of all, I don't like how all these factors add up to build the pressure so high in a new relationship that it gets snuffed out before it even has a chance to start.”
It's no secret that her relationship history has influenced her music, as several of her songs can be linked to her past lovers. But despite this, her latest album doesn't feature any of her trademark diss tracks. Into The Woods is said to be in reference to her relationship with Harry Styles, but none of the songs take a swipe at her famous exes.

“In this period of my life, my heart was not irreparably broken. So it's not as boy-centric of an album, because my life hasn't been boycentric,” she explained. However, if this is down to the fact that she wasn't dating at the time, then taking the next step with Matt could inspire her to go back to her old ways in time for her next album.
Irregardless, Taylor has kept open-minded when it comes to finding a new beau. Despite enjoying the single life, the star hasn't given up on love. "I'm really happy about the fact that being single doesn't feel like being alone," she told E! News.
"I have love in my life, I just don't have a relationship, and that feels really natural right now. It's not that [I've sworn off dating] as much as I'm just very protective of my happiness. I found a place in my life that feels really great and I'm not willing to compromise that for just anyone."
So it seems Matt could be in with a chance after all. But he'll have to accept the fact that if things go south he could inspire Taylor's next smash hit.
