Cher Cancels Remainder Of Dressed To Kill Tour

Cher has cancelled the remaining dates of her Dressed to Kill Tour after falling sick.

The Believe hitmaker has cancelled the 29 remaining shows of the second leg of her tour because of a viral infection.

The 68-year-old has developed an infection that has affected her kidney function, according to a tour press release. The star is said to be recovering well, but doctors have "advised her to take more time to ensure a complete and total recovery."

"I am totally devastated. Nothing like this has ever happened to me," Cher said in a statement. "I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets. I'm so proud of this show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started."

The Oscar-winner's health required her to postpone a number of shows back in September. She had also skipped six dates in November and had 23 left on the schedule between this weekend and February.

Dressed to Kill is Cher's first tour since the Living Proof Farewell Tour that ran from 2002 to 2005.
