The 2014 BET Hip Hop Awards took place in Atlanta last month (Sat. Sep 20) at the Atlantic Civic Center in ATL and it’s airing on TV right now!

Hosted by Snoop Dogg (aka “Uncle Snoop”), the show will feature performances/appearances from T.I., Common, Jay Electronica, YG, Rae Sremmurd, Migos, Birdman, Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug, Bobby Shmurda, Migos and many more.

The BET Hip Hop Awards is also home to the famous black-and-white “Cypher” performances, in which the “biggest, brightest and most brilliant lyricists” freestyle over a beat in between commercial breaks. This year’s line-up includes David Banner, Vic Mensa, Remy Ma, Treach, Papoose, Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Kevin Gates, Lil Mama, Troy Ave and more.

As far as nominations for the actual awards that will be handed out throughout the evening, Drake leads the pack with 8 nods, while Jay Z, Pharrell and Future follow him with six each.
