Marvel revealed the lucky actor slated to portray Doctor Strange in its upcoming flick earlier this afternoon (October 27).
According to Deadline, “Sherlock” actor Benedict Cumberbatch scored the coveted role for the superhero flick and will start negotiations today.
Previous reports linked Joaquin Phoenix to the role, but the studio couldn’t work out a deal with the “Her” star.
In addition to “Doctor Strange,” Benedict is getting ready for the release of “The Imitation Game” later this month.
