Katie Holmes Signs On to Direct “All We Had”

She’s positively breathtaking in front of the camera and now Katie Holmes is gearing up to occupy the director’s chair as well.

According to a report, the “Dawson’s Creek” star will make her directorial debut on a big screen adaptation of Annie Weatherwax’s first novel “All We Had,” and she’ll also star in the flick.

Producer Jane Rosenthal explained, "Katie has such a clear vision for the book's irreverent, original mother-daughter relationship. Her passion for the material, along with Josh Boone's ability to tell stories grounded in the comedy and drama of everyday, will truly bring these characters to life.”

“All We Had” centers on a mother and her thirteen-year-old daughter, who live together on the edge of poverty. “The Fault in Our Stars” director Josh Boone has agreed to write the script.
