Though she’s made her name filling arenas and selling millions of albums, Taylor Swift also has quite the on-screen presence.

And in a new preview clip for “The Giver,” the “Should’ve Said No” singer plays a woman in a memory named Rosemary who also happens to be a singer and pianist.

“The Giver” is slated to hit theaters on Friday, August 15th and also stars Jeff Bridges, Brenton Thwaites, Katie Holmes and Meryl Streep.

Per the synopsis, “In a seemingly perfect community, without war, pain, suffering, differences or choice, a young boy is chosen to learn from an elderly man about the true pain and pleasure of the ‘real’ world.”
