Jon Ham Opens Up About “Soul-Crushing” Soft-Core-Porn Work in Vanity Fair June 2014

During promotions for his upcoming Disney flick "Million Dollar Arm," Jon Hamm took a beat to front the June 2014 issue of Vanity Fair magazine.

Posing in a dapper suit for lensman Sam Jones, the "Mad Men" hunk opened up about his early career days working on a soft-core-porn Cinemax film.

"I was actually at that time working as a set dresser for Cinemax soft-core-porn movies," Jon admitted, adding that it "was soul-crushing." This job came around the time Hamm appeared on the mid-90s dating show "The Big Date," and footage of him on the show creeped on the web last month.

His career is in much better condition today, and Jon opened up about his role as Don Draper on the AMC series stating, "This is the best job I've ever had and maybe ever will have in my life—it's so fun to play all of this. It can be relentlessly dark. It can be terribly sexually inappropriate, is a way to say it. But who else gets a chance to do any of that stuff? There's so much there."
