He’s the foremost name in country music and Brad Paisley knows a thing or two about what it takes to be a successful artist in Nashville.

The “Mud on the Tires” singer will have a chance to put his expertise to use this summer as he’s the first musician tapped to judge the forthcoming singing competition “Rising Star” on the ABC Network.

Paisley earned the spot thanks to his six years of hosting the network’s Country Music Awards and his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley was one of the stars of ABC’s “Nashville” until her character was killed off earlier this season.
