Exclusive: Christian Siriano Dishes on Designs for Disney’s “The Pirate Fairy”

Taking his talents into an entirely new realm, Christian Siriano designed the costumes for Disney's new animated feature "The Pirate Fairy" and celebrated his creations during the film's New York City screening last week.

During his red carpet chasse, the "Project Runway" star chatted exclusively with GossipCenter about designing costumes for cartoon characters and revealed which Disney persona he relates to the most.

While discussing the dynamics of creating animated ensembles, Christian explained that one of the best parts of the job was the lack of moody models, hilariously adding, “She can’t talk back to you.”

Fellow fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff chipped in her expert point-of-view and told us that there are no limits designing cartoon costumes because “The rules of fabric don’t apply.”

As for Siriano's favorite Disney characters, he said that he relates to all of the brand's personalities. The 28-year-old continued, "Every Halloween, my fiancé and I are Disney characters." Two of his memorable ensembles include Tinker Bell and Babette from "Beauty and the Beast."
