Jena Malone in Foam Febraury 2014: I Don’t Put Too Much Pressure On My Career Path

Stepping off the set of her highly anticipated film “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1,” Jena Malone garnered herself a little added exposure by covering the February 2014 issue of Foam.

While rocking a few poses for the Andrew Stiles-shot spread, the “Sucker Punch” star dished about her acting career and her love for photography.

“I don’t put too much pressure on my career path,” Miss Malone explained. “Because tomorrow I could get a script where it’s, like, full-on performance art, and I’d be playing a tree and I could think, that’s really what I want to do next.”

She continued, “I never let anyone tell me what I should be doing. I think that was the thing that kept me normal.”

In regards to her hobbies, Jena states she finds photography completely fascinating. “Basically, it’s just about control. When I’m acting, I’m just one of the variables, but [with photography] I get to figure out everything: the props, the setting, the tone, the texture.”

“I can’t really control my creative impulses; I just have to follow and respect them,” she added.
