Gearing up to continue the classic tale, the cast of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" attended the New York premiere on Wednesday (December 11).

Reuniting far from Middle Earth, Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly worked the red carpet, pausing for pictures together before heading inside.

Directed by Peter Jackson, the fantasy sequel follows the dwarves, Bilbo, and Gandalf as they continue their quest to reclaim the dwarves' homeland from Smaug.

The beloved J.R.R. Tolkien book was split up into three films with the final installment, "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" currently in post-production.
