Naked Man Taken Down by SWAT Team in Austin, TX After Starting Fire in Nissan Dealership

Following an hours-long SWAT standoff at a car dealership in Austin, TX, a naked man was arrested on arson charges after he reportedly tried to set a car dealership on fire.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, 26-year-old Jason Andrew Scrivner broke into a Nissan dealership along the northbound service road of Interstate 35 where he called 911 and hung up shortly after 2:30 a.m.

Officers said they made eye contact with the man as he moved to another area of the dealership, and about an hour or so later, he triggered a two-alarm blaze when he lit some office furniture on fire.

Officials said the fire eventually died out on its own, and by that time, firefighters and a police SWAT team had surrounded the dealership and tried to get Scrivner to come outside.

Shortly before 8 a.m. Srivner stripped down to his birthday suit and ran out of the building, but he didn’t make it too far, as he was captured by police and arrested with the help of canine units.

In addition to arson charges, Scrivner is also facing burglary charges for forcing his way into the dealership. It isn’t known whether he has any connections with that particular dealership or not, and authorities say have absolutely no idea why he took his clothes off.
