She's built up significant buzz about her new single and now Katy Perry indulged fans by releasing the official music video for "Roar" on Thursday (September 5).

Introducing her latest masterpiece, the 28-year-old songstress tweeted, "It's HERE! Filmed in Junglescope - my brand new music video."

Set in the aftermath of a plane crash in the Amazon, the "Firework" singer encounters tigers, alligators, monkeys, elephants, and more as she transforms from city slicker into jungle princess.

Check her out in the video below, which is sure to boost sales of the song. However, this week "Roar" already knocked Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" off the top spot of the Billboard chart.
