After months of speculation as to who would play Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey," Dakota Johnson was tapped for the job on Monday (September 2).

According to Deadline, the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith will star as the young, sexually naive college grad, who falls for the handsome executive Christian Grey, who happens to have a penchant for S&M.

Ms. Johnson has previously appeared in films such as "21 Jump Street," "The Social Network," and "The Five Year Engagement."

Though it has not been made official, Charlie Hunnam seems to be the front runner for the role of Christian.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to arrive in theaters on August 1, 2014.
