Carrie Underwood Remembers JFK and The Beatles at the 2013 Emmy Awards

Tying together the assassination coverage of President John F. Kennedy and the Beatles legendary performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, Carrie Underwood performed at the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 22).

Speaking about the assassination will be six-time Emmy nominee Don Cheadle. Noted as two of the most significant moments in television history, the country crooner is excited to take part.

On Saturday, Carrie tweeted, "I'm so honored to be performing on the #Emmys on @CBS tomorrow night! Any guesses on which Beatles song I'll be singing? I can't wait!"

Documenting the big day, on Sunday the stoked performer tweeted a photo with the caption, "#EmmyDay selfie time! Let's do this!"
