Honored for her spot on the cover, Ali Larter attended Michigan Avenue Magazine's September Issue Celebration at Siena Tavern in Chicago on Tuesday (September 17).

The "Heroes" star rocked a knee-length black leather zip-up dress with heels as she posed for photos and autographed her cover on the red carpet.

Enjoying the Midwest folks, the 37-year-old actress tweeted, "I am so smitten with #chicago the kindness and fun loving attitude makes me think they know something we don't know!"

While promoting her new cookbook, "Kitchen Revelry," Ali spoke about the possibility of giving her 2-year-old son, Teddy, a sibling. Content with what she has with husband Hayes MacArthur, she shared with ABC News, "We're really happy the way it is now. We're working, we love Teddy, and our family feels really full and perfect."
