Sick Kids Get Their Spirits Lifted When Robert Pattinson Visits L.A. Hospital

They were told to prepare for a surprise guest, but when the kids at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles looked up to see Robert Pattinson, they cried and giggled in awe. The “Twlight” star dropped by to spread some cheer, and join the kids for some arts and crafts.

As he drew alongside the teen patients, Pattinson laughed at his own creation—a pink frame with hearts sketched in. He called his artistic skills “terrible.” The actor graciously posed for photographs with each child and signed every picture frame before heading off to visit two cystic fibrosis patients who were unable to leave their rooms.

According to a hospital spokesperson, “We couldn’t help laughing and smiling when one of the patients was so star struck she that couldn’t speak. You could tell it meant the world to her—she was tearing up and smiling ear to ear as we were leaving.”

Pattinson was able to visit because a scene from the movie he’s currently filming, “Maps to the Stars,” will feature a short scene in front of the hospital.
