Less than a year after going public with their relationship, it looks like Ashley Tisdale and Christopher French are ready to take the next step.

According to reports, the Disney darling and her musician beau got engaged last night (August 8) while on top of the Empire State Building in NYC.

An insider told Life & Style mag, "It happened on the 103rd floor at the top of the Empire State Building,” adding, “It was totally romantic and Ashley’s over the moon, of course!”

Though the news has not yet been confirmed by either party, Miss Tisdale did seem to be having a fantastic night, as she tweeted, "Best night of my life. We’re on top of the world”
