Known for her keen sense of fashion, Nicole Richie is now opening up her home to display her work in revamping her backyard in Laurel Canyon.

Sharing it all with home website Domaine, the 31-year-old "Fashion Star" mentor boasts, "Our house is the one people come to, to hang."

In the turquoise, yellow, and black themed space, Nicole explained, "It was important to me to keep the color palette strong, but not too overpowering. We're all about having everything be really eclectic and relaxed."

As for creating the perfect atmosphere for get-togethers, Ms. Richie says, "I'm against assigned seating. I like people to come to my house and feel like they can do whatever they want."
