Marion Cotillard Takes Natalie Portman’s Seat in “Macbeth”

Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard is set to snag a role in See-Saw Films’ “Macbeth.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the “Dark Knight Rises” beauty will replace Natalie Portman and star opposite Michael Fassbender, who portrays Shakespeare’s’ iconic tragic antihero.

Directed by “Snowtown’s” Justin Kurzel, the flick is set to begin filming in January 2014.

Meanwhile, “Macbeth” is produced by the duo behind Oscar-winning flick “The King’s Speech,” Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.
